About.

A product designer, twelve years in, currently in Denver.

// Currently

I'm a Principal Product Designer at DAT Freight & Analytics, based in Denver. I design for freight brokers and carriers, shaping tools that feel easy and intuitive in an industry that never stops moving. Internally, I'm bringing AI tools and processes into how the design team works.

Before DAT, I was at Zero Homes leading product design for the homeowner mobile apps. We were building software to help homeowners electrify, a problem space that touched construction, finance, regulation, and the physical reality of homes.

Before that, twelve years across consumer apps, enterprise systems, and agency settings: onboarding and cash-back experiences at Ibotta, decision-support tools for the vacation industry at Hilton Grand Vacations, mortgage tools at Rocket, design systems, and contract engagements for teams shipping their first real product.

// Craft

My roots are in graphic design, so I pay attention to type, rhythm, and the small details of a screen. Lately I've been interested in how AI is changing the craft: shortening some loops, deepening others, and knowing when it should stay out of the way. I've led work that integrates AI into user-facing experiences in human-first ways, and I use it behind the scenes for speed and sharper first passes.

I teach UX/UI at the university level (most recently San Diego State), mentor designers early in their careers, and take on side projects when the shape of something is interesting enough.

In Denver with my wife and our dog, Orzo, with a first kid on the way. I mountain bike the trails here when the weather cooperates and race enduro through the season. Working on my Italian, both the language and the citizenship, makes our trips to Italy feel less like tourism and more like visiting.
